Today I am Thankful Journal Entry with Kelly

Hi everyone! It’s Kelly here today sharing one more entry in my Gratitude Traveler’s Notebook featuring the Today I am Grateful Bundle.

I started with a 2.5 inch scrap piece of patterned paper, and placed it down the center of the left page to be a base for my journaling and a few embellishments.

I always like one side to be less busy, so I just used a triangle of patterned paper in the corner to matt my photo on the right side. I like to do this to leave room for journaling or doodling.

The paperclip was actually an embellishment on the previous page, I tucked my journaling tags under it to make it a useful part of this page as well.

I’ve enjoyed documenting what I am grateful for with you all this month!

Thanks for stopping by today!

thankful for…

I really loved the versatility of the Today I am Thankful kit-it is packed with many creative goodies that you can make a myriad of projects-today I decided that I wanted to create a layout and focus on the elements and picture more than a title.  yes, I created a page with NO title!

Because these are some of my family members I wanted to have a quilt like feel so I cut the printed paper down to 3.25 inch squre and cut it in half and popped it up on pop dots.  My focus was really on the journaling-sharing my love for these two sweet people in my life.  Simple sweet and to the point!

We would love to see your creations, please feel free to share on our Facebook page-Scrapbook Circle of Friends!

Hostess Cards with Jennifer

Hello Scrapbook Circle friends! I hope you are enjoying the long Thanksgiving weekend (in the U.S.) and taking advantage of those Black Friday deals! Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made using the Today I Am Thankful printable bundle available in the Scrapbook Circle shop.

The versatility of the bundles makes them so fun to have on hand. They complement the goodies I have in my stash and make it easy to quickly put together hostess cards such as these.

This card uses strips of paper left over from my gratitude journal along with a doily, puffy heart sticker, and gold paint that I had on hand.

The colors are vibrant and perfect for autumn projects. This wreath was made by punching circles out of scraps and combining them with sequins and paint. I finished it off with the chipboard leaves and sentiment from the bundle and added a gold bow from my stash.

Be sure to grab the Today I Am Grateful bundle from the shop and enjoy the endless project possibilities at your fingertips!!

#GRATEFUL – ‘Today I Am Thankful’

Hi there and Happy Thanksgiving!  This is Jenni here today to share a traditional scrapbook layout I created using the “Today I am Thankful” kit.  I used the majority of the kit for my Gratitude Journal over the last month, but wanted to use these extra photos together in their own project.

I used some of the patterned paper from the kit to create corner pieces and a frame at the top & bottom.  I added some watercolor paint via “smooshing” as a base for the photo clusters in the center of the page.

I also painted some cut leaf shapes I had from my Silhouette.  I layered them with some of the fussy cut flowers from the Printables kit.  I adhered my photos under these small frames, also cut using the Silhouette.  I embellished each of the frames using some washi and chipboard pieces from the kit.

The colors in this kit just demand a Fall creation and I can’t think of a better topic this time of year!  I am personally overwhelmed with blessings that I need a constant reminder to recognize and acknowledge in my life.  Thanks for stopping by the Blog today!  I wish you and yours a Thanksgiving (or simply a weekend…) full of grace and gratitude!

Gratitude Journal Entry with Kelly

Hello! It’s Kelly here today sharing another entry from my Today I am Grateful Traveler’s Notebook…

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I am still not running out of things to be thankful for. Today’s entry is about HOME.

I love using Instagram photos in my Traveler’s Notebooks…they are just the right size! I kept one full page of my spread background free to bring focus to my photo…and just enhanced with journaling and a few embellishments. I covered the opposite side, and used it as a ‘title page’.

We’re moving right a long through the month of November! Are you documenting what you are thankful for?

Thanks for stopping by today!

You are my sunshine!

Hello Diana here; today I wanted to share with you how versatile the Today I am Thankful kit is.  Honestly, it is PACKED with creative goodness!  I created a fun card with two different types of printers.

  1. I decided I wanted to foil some of the background with my minc machine- so I printed the ruler (included in the electronic version) with my laser printer-and picked a colored foil I felt would enhance my card.
  2. For the background paper I used my regular inkjet printer to print the “Thankful Cover” (also included in the electronic version) and cut it down to fit the front of my card.
  3. To top it off I used one of the super cute Flag paperclips (included in the shipped bundle) with pop dots on the back.
  4. I sewed it all together.

This was a super quick and fun card!  We would love to see your creations with our kits-please feel free to share them on our Facebook page!

Gratitude Journal | Jen McMurtrey

Hello Scrapbook Circle friends! It’s Jen today sharing a couple of spreads from the gratitude journal I am working on during the month of November using the Today I am Thankful printable bundle from the SC shop.

Let’s start with day one where I have written about my faith and what it means to me.

This is a two-page spread that I am have purposely kept simple.

Days two and three follow. Unlike my usual projects, I have intentionally made the pages simple. I did this so I would allow myself the time to work on the journal everyday without the need to dedicate a lot of time.

Day two:

Day three:

Thank you so much for visiting today! Be sure to visit the Scrapbook Circle blog for more inspiration and ideas from the design team.

Gratitude Journal – Part 3

Hello there friends!  Jenni here to share the third part of my Gratitude Journal!  Creating a page for each day leading up to Thanksgiving Day, these are pages 13 – 18.  One of the perfect things about the “Today I am Thankful” kit is that almost all the embellishments are collections in at least 24 or more pieces…ideal for adding one embellishment to each page, adding a common element to the journal as a whole.

At first, I was a little unsure of trying to combine all these Fall colors with the pinks and mint green shades, that are in a few of the embellishments.  However, they are all warm hues and I really like the way it turned out!  I did add some pieces of watercolor paper that I painted to compliment the navy papers in the kit.  I used a few pieces of this throughout the remaining pages.

Continuing with my “Recipe” from the 1st part of my Journal, I used a piece of the chipboard, one of the circular dates, and a few of the Printable phrases.  Obviously, some of my photos aren’t within the last month or two, but I started with a list of the things I am Thankful for, then tried to find the perfect photograph to connect with my story.

Thanks for stopping by the Blog today and sharing in some of my most precious blessings!  I hope this inspires you to document the things you are grateful for in your life…whether that is through a Journal, a scrapbook page, a list, or any other creative medium!

Check out the other inspiration and projects from the rest of the team here on the Blog, or the Scrapbook Circle of Friends FB page!  Have a great day!

Gratitude Journal Entry with Kelly

Hello! It’s Kelly here today sharing another entry using the Today, I am Grateful kit.

I have already talked about how much I love the color palate in this kit. I chose a black and white photo to really make the colors stand out. I cut out a number 5 from the Numbered Circles Paper to represent my 5 kids….and that little sunshine paperclip is my favorite <3. I also colored in the little dots of the black and white leaf with a mint marker…just for added pop!

I am so grateful for the children God has blessed us with…they bring us so much joy! What are you grateful for today?

Thanks for stopping by!
