Tech Tip with Kelly

Hello everyone! It’s Kelly here today sharing a layout made with the July kit, ‘Smile More’.

I often struggle with how to use small embellishments such as sequins and beads on a scrapbook layout. Occasionally, I will scatter them across my pages…but, more often then not I end up putting them all together in a pouch of some sort, or a shaker card.

I needed a large embellishment or focal point for the top right square on my grid design. So, I used a clear envelope to contain a portion of the sequins found in this month’s kit to fill the space. I just happened to have the envelope…but there are a variety of ways to make a shaker embellishment out of elements like this. Product packaging, vellum, and pocket pages are just a few.

I did also scatter a few more sequins across my page to finish the look 🙂
