One Embellishment Inspiration – DIY Party Fringe

Hello there friends!  Hope you are all having a wonderful week and enjoying the summer weather wherever you are!  This last Tuesday of the July, Jung is sharing the most lovely scrapbook page!  Her focus was to use the Fringe Paper in the July kit Smile More from the American Crafts DIY collection.

“When I saw the DIY fringe, I knew I wanted to use them in long strips across my page. I wanted to make my own fringe with pattern paper and include it as well. My layout was looking pretty monochromatic, so I decided to color one strip of fringe a bright magenta pink to match my daughter’s glasses. I used some distress ink and an ink blending tool to dab the ink onto the fringe. I added more layers of ink to deepen the color.”

“I love the way the green and white fringe kind of echo the florals behind my daughter in the photo, and the tiny flowers that I fussy cut emphasize that even more.”

I have so many things I want to say about Jung’s layout, but she literally said it all…

I love her subtle color associations and her simple yet powerful, dynamic design.  Thank you Jung for sharing pieces of your family and for ALL your inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by the Blog today and we hope you have an amazing day!
