Hey crafty friends!

Today, I’m sharing 2 cards that I made using the July Laugh More add-on.  I am a 6×6 paper pad addict, and I love me a good alpha sticker, so I had to jump on this month’s add-on!  I also used the Pinkfresh Studio rubber charms from the July Smile More kit.

For my first card, I started by cutting out the sentiment piece from one of the 6×6 Pinkfresh Studio papers.  I picked the flower charm that matched the colors of the sentiment.

I picked out the fun black and white paper from the 6×6 paper pad, and die cut it into a rectangle.  I selectively colored in some of the images with matching Copic marker colors.  I added a machine stitched border around the sentiment piece, and added some foam tape behind it.  I got some gold thread and added some to the back of the adhesive before I attached it to the card base.  I added some gold splatters and the adhered the rubber charm.  I cut out and folded a light pink card base.  To create more interest, I inked up the bottom of the card base with a similar toned distress ink to create an ombre look.  I then adhered the card piece with foam tape onto the card base.

For my second card, I started with the SHINE sentiment I wanted to create using the thickers.

I chose a pattern paper from the 6×6 pad and die cut a rectangle.  Next, I picked one of the washi sentiments from the Pinkfresh Studio washi stickers.  Then I added the thickers.  I wanted to add a rubber charm to this card as well, and I thought the rainbow and stars would be good with the sentiment.  I thought that the diamond shape looked like a kite, so I got a piece of thread and attached it to the back.  To make it look even more like a kite, I cut tiny little bows from a paper from the 6×6 pad and glued them onto the string.  (I used my craft tweezers.)  To finish off the card, I added some foam tape to the back and attached it to a light pink card base that I made.  (It’s the same cardstock I used in my first card.)

I already have in mind who I’m giving the first card to.  I have a friend battling breast cancer right now, and I want her to know how brave and strong she is.

That’s it for me today!  I hope you like my cards, and I hope you’re feeling crafty!
