Summer, a take 2 layout

Hey friends!  I’m here today with a take 2 layout using June’s Sunshine Days kit.

Spoiler alert…I was inspired by myself, LOL!  I tried a new-to-me technique last month, and I just love the way it turned out, so I wanted to recreate it.  I love how you can see all the ephemera, there’s really no layering…I love the stitching, and I love how graphic it all looks.

Here is the layout:

and here is my new layout:

To create my layout, I first added the strips of pattern paper along the top and bottom of my white cardstock.  Then, I just pushed around my photos and the Crate Paper ephemera, until things fit right.  I cut down some of the pieces to fit where I wanted them to go, and I made a few pieces myself.  I used a metal die for the pink star, a tab punch for the tab on the top left, and I made a tag for my journaling out of one of the pattern papers.  Once I liked the positioning of everything, I added a little bit of adhesive on the pieces, and sewed each piece down.  I adhered my photos with foam tape for a bit of pop, and I curled up the edges of the ephemera for added dimension.

The Crate Paper Oasis ephemera pack was absolutely perfect for this layout!  My daughter is such a ham!  The journaling says:  This girl here: just putting on a swimsuit fashion show in a Target fitting room!  Love her tons!!!”

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope I inspired you to create (x2, LOL!).
