Technique Tip – Cute Butterflies

Hi friends! Neela here! This is my last month as DT for scrapbook circle. I have had a wonderful year of creating some of my favorite projects with the latest products with the kits. It has been such a privilege to be designing with these kits and with my fellow design team members.

For this post, I am sharing with you how to create cute and playful looking butterflies using a circle punch. I got this idea when I came across some pins on pinterest about ideas on how to make butterfly cakes. It is very easy to make them and below are photos of the steps and no words necessary:



For this project, I decided to fill a couple of pages in my traveler’s notebook. I used a photo of my niece of this project. Here is the spread:


She is just 2 and a half months old and is adorable. I took the opportunity to use as many flowers as I could from the Oh My Heart ephemera pack from the add on this month. The journaling tag is also from the same ephemera pack. I backed the photo with some patterned paper and added some stickers and the hello word from pretty little studio All My Heart collection. I also added some hearts from the same collection and that completed my spread. Here is a close up:
