To the Moon layout, featuring Just Nick Studio
This month, we had the opportunity to work with cut files from Just Nick Studio.
When I saw the To the Moon cut file, I knew it would be perfect for scrapbooking my baby girl’s birth announcement.
Here’s what I created using the March Happy Place kit:
I really wanted the cut file and birth announcement to shine, so I kept the embellishments to a minimum. Doesn’t baby girl look precious?! I know every parent thinks their baby is beautiful, but I have to say she is one pretty baby! (smiley face) She’s already 4 1/2 months old…how time flies!
To create my layout, I first cut the moon cut file from aqua cardstock. Then I backed the stars with pink paper. I adhered the birth announcement to a piece of white cardstock, then I adhered the cut file on top. I used a bit of glue and thin foam squares to adhere the moon. I trimmed the white cardstock a little, attached it to a Pink Paislee pattern paper, and added machine stitching around the edges. I added a few journaling strips to the top right. To finish off my layout, I added just a few elements. I added a Love you sticker, so the title would read “Love you to the moon.” I aded a scalloped Pink Paislee washi sticker to the right of the birth announcement. I added the metal/enamel heart to the moon using gold thread. I added the row of hearts stickers to the very top right of the pattern paper background. Finally, I attached the bunny circle, which I punched out of a Shimelle pattern paper to the top right of my layout. That’s it! Clean and simple scrapbooking!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you get some crafty time to play! TGIF!
