1 Product 2 Ways – Amy Tan Watercolor Resist Tags
Hello everyone! As March comes to an end, our last weekly 1 Product 2 Ways post features one of my favorite pieces from the “Happy Place” kit. I asked Rebecca & Claudia to use the Watercolor Resist tags from the latest Amy Tan collection, “On A Whim.” We’ll begin with Claudia’s layout below…
“Hello everyone, today I’m sharing a layout where I used the Amy Tangerine Watercolor Resist Tags that came in this month’s kit. I love the look of coloring them with watercolor but I’m always afraid to mess it up and I can’t fix / undo it but I decided to try my luck on these tags. Your tags might be different from mine but I’m using the one with the camera and the floral. I added a bit of subtle color to go with the color scheme I had in mind. I also selected some papers to make tags out of (I used a few scraps of paper from last month’s kit to add some more black) and used a small hole punch so I could put some twine through it. I embellished the tags I cut out of paper with some stickers and smaller embellishments. I added some colorful splatters to finish off the layout.”
As usual, Claudia’s color palette is comprised of lovely feminine colors framing her black & white pic. Rebecca goes for a bolder palette in her page below, using both the paper and alphas to convey Paradise!
As a treat, Rebecca also included this video tutorial below sharing her methods for adding color to the tags. Just click below or HERE to find the video…
Claudia’s playful use of patterned paper and embellishments appropriately reminds me of the playful nature of cats! Likewise, Rebecca’s uses the rainbow color stripe piece of paper coordinated with the alphas to further emphasize the vivid colors in the photo and the tags.
As usual, amazing ideas you gals! Thank you for stopping by and sharing a piece of your day with us and be sure to check out Rebecca’s video too!
Have an amazing day!
