Hello Scrapbook Circle Friends! It’s Jennifer today sharing some quick tags I made using mainly the Record It add on kit for February. Tags are a great way to use up those scraps we all have lying around as well as keep on hand to give with gifts.
My inspiration for these were the cute little cut out tags in the Dear Lizzy Lovely Day 6×6 pad. Once I saw those, I knew how I wanted to use the add-on kit.
For the first one, I used a kraft paper tag I had in my stash and sewed tissue paper onto it for texture. Next, I sewed a couple of pieces of patterned paper onto to the tag and embellished it with the Maggie Holmes puffy heart, 1Canoe2 enamel shapes, and a sticker sentiment from the main kit. Last, I used a tiny clothespin from my stash and clipped another piece of patterned paper and small doily to the back.
The second tag again uses the Dear Lizzy patterned papers with an American Crafts tag I found stuffed in a drawer (I seriously need to clean my craft room). I sewed around the border of the tag after adhering my papers, added the Elle’s Studio puffy sticker sentiment and Shimelle puffy heart sticker, and then glued three acrylic stars to the bottom (included in the main kit). Once finished, I again used a small clothespin and attached a small doily to the back for more dimension.
My third and final tag still uses the Dear Lizzy patterned papers from the add-on, but I also used the 1Canoe2 cork sentiment and Thickers.
