1 Product 2 Ways – Fancy Pants Matchbook Notelets
Hello friends! Moving along this month, Claudia and Jung unknowingly created somewhat similar layouts using the Fancy Pants Matchbook Labels and some super cute photos! The FP lables are part of the embellishments in the current January “Love Notes” kit. Jung has been a busy bee with new baby and has lots of photos of her to scrap…her description is below the first photo.
“I looked at the colored labels in the Fancy Pants matchbook, and thought they would make a perfect background. Thinking out of the box, I treated the labels as pattern paper. I lined them up on the side of my layout for a graphic look, and then added some machine stitching for texture.”
I love the simplicity of Jung’s LO that enables her to focus on the story and use the labels to create a pattern. Next up is Claudia with her description of her thoughts and process below.
“Hi everyone! It’s Claudia here and today I’m sharing a layout where I used the Fancy Pants Matchbook Notelets from this month’s kit in a fun way. To be honest, I found this one quite hard because I felt as if the matchbook has a lot of elements that you would use in a planner, so I tried to think of a way in which I could use it on an actual layout. I really liked the sheet with the flag/banner shapes, so I decided that those would probably be easiest for me to use as part of my background. I also cut out some of the icons from some of the other sheets. I then pulled out the sticker sheets from the Simple Stories Love and Adore collection and added some of the smaller ones on top of the banners to give them a little more interest.”
I love Claudia’s painted background, labels clustered under her photo and the Fancy Pants cork embellishments from the “True Love” Add-On work so well with her sweet photo. Dogs and babies make beautiful scrapbook subjects!
