DT Choice: Two Layouts using the Everyday Stories kit!

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing two layouts I created using the December Everyday Stories¬†kit. My favorite part of this kit is the versatility. I love that it can be used for winter layouts and everyday layouts! I created one of each for today’s post.

The first layout is a Winter themed layout, and it is inspired by the Snow &¬†Cocoa items in the kit. I loved the quilt pattern of the Snow & Cocoa “Snowflakes” paper, and so I tried to recreate it as a background. I used the 6″x6″ paper pad included in the Be Happy add-on to create squares, and then cut each square in half to make triangles. Once I had my triangles, I arranged them on the page in a design that mimicked the snowflake patterned paper. I stitched it down with gold thread, and then added the super cute Snow & Cocoa wood veneers as my title and embellishments. The Snow & Cococa stickers were from last month’s kit!

My second layout was inspired by this gorgeous patterned paper from the Bella Blvd Illustrated Faith collection. I loved the beautiful blue background, and the fun watercolor design on the other side. I cut a square from the middle of the page so I could use both patterns. I used larger layers to cover the hole, and then added the watercolor design under my photo. I used the Jillibean Soup glassine bag as a layering piece, and the coordiating acrylic title that comes in the kit. I used spray mist to change the color of the bow (included in the Be Happy add-on) to match my page. I finished the layout by outlining all the layers in black ink to help them stand out!

These are two of my favorite pages I created from this month’s kit, and I love how different they are! I hope you feel inspired to create!
