December Guest Designer – Elizabeth Gardner!

December 9, 2016

Happy Friyay friends!  Today is the day we get to meet our Guest Designer, Elizabeth Gardner, and feast upon her first project using the December ‘Everyday Stories’ kit.

Here is a Elizabeth in her own words!

“Crazy hair, crazy life. I have a super hot husband (Hottie), four kids ranging in age from 18-2 (told you I’m crazy),
and a wild animal 2yr old weimaraner (who thinks he’s a human). I am super nerdy passionate about scrapbooking…
especially in the 12×12 and Project Life sense. I’ve been documenting our wild ride for the past 3 years with pocket pages
without missing a week (told you I was nerdy).
I enjoy slurpees, making lists, watching the housewives (it’s ok to judge me).. and play roller derby in my free time.
I also specialize in hand lettering and string art and have started to sell those in the form of commissioned pieces recently.
That’s me! Care to know more?

Elizabeth has the impressive ability to create a project that looks simple, but actually is very deliberate in all its elements.  I admire that talent and skill to bring together a vision and story in such a beautiful way.  Her use of the repetitive snowflake, both in negative and positive form, brings all the papers together, despite the various colors and patterns.  Using a black & white photo helps tie in her cooler color palette as well as providing a vibrant contrast.

One of my favorite parts of this page, is Elizabeth’s hand written journaling.  Aside from being really cool, it is such a personal touch that really draws me in!
snowflakes_gdt_dec-2016-3Thanks so much for stopping by the Blog today!  I know you will be inspired by Elizabeth’s work style.  We want to see your creations and vision, so please share with us on the Scrapbook Circle of Friends Facebook page!

Have an amazing weekend!
