Hello my friends!  The December kit ‘Everyday Stories’ is full of fantastic and versatile embellishments…so we decided to not limit this week’s Product post to just one!  Diana and Kelly are using any and all embellishments to create layouts with two very different looks!

Diana’s bright layout is a welcome slice of sunshine from the shorter days of winter.  I absolutely adore her photos, they are casual, but carefully planned.  Her daughter transforming from forward facing clarity to her facing her back to the camera in a blur.  Okay, enough camera talk, let’s look at her embellishments! loveddec

Here is how Diana approached her piece:

“Because I live in AZ I don’t have a lot of pictures of people in snow- I decided to layer the cut pieces up to create a eye catching title piece.”

Diana used a variety of pieces from Crate Paper and Jillibean Soup die cuts paired with washi and enamel pieces from Freckled Fawn.
Her title is the perfect combination of small medium and large text and brings in all the colors from her patterned paper.  Speaking of which, the paper is a great match to the organic style and feel of her photos!

Let’s change gears with a different color scheme and layout theme!  Kelly used a lots of different embellishments layered for high impact as well, concentrating on the Crate Paper wood die cuts.  Her description is below:

“I chose to use the die cuts as part of my long title. I altered each one to suit my purpose. I cut the ‘s’ off of snowflakes, and added glitter to the other two pieces so that all major parts of the title had gold accents. When applying the gold to the ‘cold’ die cut, I kept with the script, but chose to blend in the glitter on the ‘BRR’ die cut….So that even though they all have the gold theme, they are still all a little bit different.”

The texture Kelly adds to the wood is perfect and the tiny touch of pink is a lovely complement!  Sometimes, more is better!!  Especially is that ‘more’ involves cute embellishments!  They are a scrapbooker’s accessories!
