October Designer’s Choice with Jennifer

Hey Scrapbook Circle Friends! Today I am sharing a sweet layout of my daughters that I created using October’s Kit – The Weekender. I absolutely love the papers and embellishments this month and couldn’t wait to dig in!

To begin this layout, I cut apart the Reset Girl patterned paper with the sunburst-like design and positioned the triangular strips on another sheet.

Next, I used the Reset Girl stamp to create a background on the solid paper by stamping “sweet girl” in black and gray inks. I followed this with more patterned papers in the burst pattern, which I then stitched with my sewing machine to add texture.

When I was done stitching, I used a bone folder to lift the edges of the papers and fold them upwards for more dimension. I backed my photos with patterned papers and added them to the layout. To embellish the project, I fussy cut several flowers from the Reset Girls papers and placed them on and behind the photos. Next, I added a title and more embellishments from the Crate Paper Blessed Thickers as well as two tags from Pretty Little Studio Oakley Avenue.

To give one final bit of texture, I drew a border around the papers that were not sewn onto the layout and added a couple of the Dear Lizzy Saturday puffy stickers.

The finished project is simple and matches the fun vibe of the photos.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to create!
