Be Real: All the Feels

Hello Scrapbook Circle friends! It’s time for another Be Real post where team members share projects about everyday, ordinary life. How better to be real than to create a layout using a picture from an Instagram post?

For this project, I used the exclusive Scrapbook Circle cut file that is available with The Weekender kit and my Silhouette Cameo. I loved the yellow paper and wanted to use it as a base to give my layout a pop of color, so I used it to back the white cardstock that I cut. To give the layout more dimension, I alternately folded the triangles over to give the appearance of each row “pointing” a certain direction.

Next, I pierced two holes in each of the folded cuts and tacked them in place with yellow and pink embroidery floss.

With my background complete, I began layering various papers under my photo and added embellishments. I loved the yellow striped bag so much that I used it to hold my journaling. The puffy Thicker alphabet stickers are my favorite part and go so well with the papers in the kit. The finishing touch was the scattering of sequins on throughout the page.

This layout came together in a little over an hour, which is a miracle for me. It was fun to sit down and let the papers and photo dictate how I put this together.

Thank you so much for visiting today, and I hope you are inspired to create.
