1 Product 2 Ways – Oakley Avenue Golden Cards
Hi there! Welcome to our first 1 Product 2 Ways post for October! The new kit, The Weekender, is truly amazing. I always say that, but there is so much variety in color and types of embellishments. it is going to be a very inspiring month! First off, we are going to feature the Pretty Little Studio Golden 3X4 Metallic Journaling Cards! Claudia and Kelly whipped up a couple awesome layouts to share. Up first, Claudia!
“Hello everyone! Today I’m here with a layout where I’m showing you one way you can use the gold foiled journaling cards from the Pretty Little Studio Oakley Avenue collection which is designed by Ashley Horton. I’m sure not all of you are doing Project Life so how do I use journaling cards on my scrapbooking layouts? Depending on the size of your photo, journaling cards can be great for layering. I used one of the cards for layering on my layout. There’s a few cards in the pack that have elements or text on them. I thought these would be great to cut out because the extra pop of gold always looks great. You can apply this to any journaling card you might have in your stash – just go through them and see if there’s any that have some images on them that you can cut out!”
I love the explosion of embellishments that burst from around her photos. Cutting the cards apart really makes them into a completely different product! Next up is Kelly!
“I chose to use the cards as a background. I grouped them together, cutting off half of the 2 cards on the right to leave a border from my patterned paper. I loved the contrast of the white and gold on black, and accented with maroon and teal to make my photo pop.”
In complete contrast from Claudia’s use, Kelly keeps the cards whole. I love the simple palette Kelly uses, making the graphics of the card take center stage! The gold foiling is so beautiful, you need to see it for yourself!
If you want to share your creations with us, we’d love you to share them on our Facebook Community page Scrapbook Circle of Friends! Thanks for stopping by the Blog today and I hope you are having a wonderful start to Fall!
