Be You!

Our Be You Add-on includes some really fun products and I’d love to share how to create a layout using mainly this add-on with just a couple of touches from the main kit.

Here’s a look at my layout.

If you don’t have this add-on, this look can easily be recreated with any 6 X 6 paper pad and a few embellishments.

Want to see how it came together?

The background for this layout is created by cutting strips of paper from the 6 X 6 Paige Evans Paper Pad.

First, I pulled a few of my favorite patterned papers from the pad that went well with my photos. Now it’s time to start cutting!

The best way to do create this background is to not overthink it. Just cut a strip of paper, place it on the page and then cut another strip. I worked from top to bottom to fill the page. I like the look of varied sizes of paper strips, but you could do them all the same height if you like that look more. It’s up to yoU!

Since my page was 8.5 X 11, the 6-inch wide paper strips stretched across most of the page. It was easy to cut smaller 2.5 inch wide papers to cover the open gaps.

Once the background was created (it took around 10 minutes, so it was fast!) then it was time to add the super cool Pinkfresh Wood Clips to the page. These slid right over three of the paper strips and once they were in place, I adhered everything to the background cardstock.

The title was created with those beautiful two tone alphas from the Be You Add-on. The smaller alpha (spelling Saguaro) came from the main kit.

The little quotes that each wood clip is holding came from one of the 6 X 6 papers in the paper pad. Don’t you love those?

I finished off the page with journaling in an open space in the middle of the page and the date was written on a section of the printable that comes with this month’s kit.

If you build a page background with your 6 X 6 paper pad, I’d love to see the results! You can share your pages on our Circle Of Friends Facebook Page.
