Hey there!  Today’s 1 Product 2 Ways may be my favorite piece of the September ‘Shine Bright’ kit.  They are the Amy Tangerine Watercolor Resist Cards from her ‘Oh Happy Day’ collection.  Neela used hers with this gorgeous color combination below.

“When I saw these water color resit cards, I knew that I needed to use all of them on my layout. I love circles and seem to have at least one layout with circles every month. So in order to mimic the circles of these cards, I cut out my photo in a circle and also punched out some circles from the Indigo Hills patterned paper. I sprayed the ‘bonny blue’ Mister Huey’s mist on the circles and wiped out the excess. I love the vibrant outcome. I wanted the feathers to be gold but when I misted it with gold, it didn’t really show. I then sprayed it with ‘boss lady’ Mister Huey’s mist and cut out each feather from the card. I then layered all these circles on the Indigo Hills patterned paper and the colors went so well together. I also cut out one of the square cards into little triangles and layered them in a visual triangle so that the eye is drawn to the photo.”

Kelly’s layout has similar colors but a little bolder and she colored her tags with multiple colors!  I also love to see Kelly’s handwriting, it is so cool!  She describes her layout and use of the cards below.super-models-1

“I chose to use the square water resist cards as design elements for my layout.  I chose some ink that coordinated with the Thickers and topped each one with a few embellishments.”

Both projects are so colorful and creative.  I love that they unknowingly chose to use opposite shapes!  Thanks for stopping by the Blog today and make sure you share your thoughts and pictures on the Scrapbook Circle of Friends FB page!  Have a wonderful day!
