Make MEMORIES today layout, featuring the funky triangle stencil
Hey guys! Today, I have a layout for you featuring the August kit Snapshot and the funky triangle stencil that came in the kit.
My daughter and her 2 friends got together last summer at Painting with a Twist for a fun girls’ painting date. Isn’t that Bob Ross “face-in-the-hole” painting so funny? I am finally scrapbooking the fun day, and I thought it’d be cool to add my own little artsy embellishments!
I used the funky triangle stencil 4 different ways on this layout. On a piece of white cardstock, I used the stencil with embossing paste, ink and a sponge applicator, and spray ink. Once dry, I die cut circles out of them to create my own embellishments. I also traced the stencil with pencil on the layout itself (in the lower left corner and the upper right corner) to add another subtle detail.
To make my layout:
After I made my circle stencil embellishments, I also die cut different sized circles out of some of the patterned paper from the August kit. Then, I got a piece of white cardstock, and adhered my 4 photos to the middle of the page, using foam adhesive. I moved the circles around on the page, and when I liked how they were arranged, I adhered some of them with glue and a couple of them with more foam adhesive. Next I added the journaling that I print off from my computer. I cut a few strips of patterned paper, and I attached one to the bottom of my page, and 2 to the top. I added machine stitching to the strips. To finish off my layout, I added embellishments to a few of the circles, and sprinkled some gold spray ink onto my page. Then, I traced a few triangles using a pencil and the stencil.
I love how my layout turned out. I hope you do too!
Have a wonderful day!
