Happy August everyone!!  The summer has flown by and we are getting ready to go back to school.  Our first product we are featuring in our Tuesday post is a Scrapbook Circle exclusive Stencil that is part of the main August kit, “Snapshot.”

Diana and Rebecca, our veteran DT members to use the stencil for a project to inspire us!  First, here is what Rebecca created:

“I used Distress Ink re-inkers to color Modeling paste. I used the blue modeling paste in two corners and green in the other two.

Once dry I trimmed the stenciled sheet down and used it as a dimensional layer.”

I love the bright colors and patterns Rebecca used in contrast with her black puppies!

Diana made this layout using so many different patterns and makes them work together and still not take away from the photo.  I love the large title too.

“I really loved the idea of using it to emboss and create something special.
I used the stencil to heat emboss with a glittered embossing powder.”
Diana created an extra layer to the patterned paper that is subtle, but helps it blend together with all the other triangles and colors.  The large title also draws your eye right to the space she left above the stencil for her journaling.  Pages about mothers and grandmothers always deserve a little glitter! 😉

Great way to kick off the month ladies!  Come back next Tuesday where we will have another specific item to feature!  Also, make sure you stop by the Scrapbook Circle of Friends Facebook page this whole month…we have something special for Back-to-School time!
