June Challenge: Everything is Awesome

One of my very favorite papers in the June Now or Never kit is this fabulous paper by Pinkfresh Studio:

Spelling out “awesome” in such a cool, bold way is the inspiration behind our June challenge: “Everything is Awesome.” To play along, create a layout with the word “awesome” as a central focus. You could document awesome people, places, or things – whatever you deem awesome. Using that awesome Pinkfresh Studio patterned paper, I created this take on the challenge:

Tessa Buys Awesome 1aI fussy-cut the word “awesome” from the patterned paper and used it as my title. I also trimmed off a bit of the stripes at the far right to add an edge to my layout.

I tucked several flowers from the Illustrated Faith pack of die-cuts in and around my title. Since the Maggie Holmes gingham paper and the “awesome” paper were black and white, I loved the pop of color that the die-cuts added.

I sprinkled some Illustrated Faith heart stickers throughout the title, and added even more color with drops of mist.

Are you ready to play along? Here’s how!

1. Create a layout with the word “awesome” as a central focus. The layout should be traditional or hybrid. This month’s Scrapbook Circle kit is perfect for this challenge, but any materials will do.

2. Post your layout to your blog, an online gallery, or social media site (be sure to tag Scrapbook Circle!). Comment on this post with a direct link to your layout.

3. For an extra entry, post your layout to our new Facebook Community, Scrapbook Circle of Friends. Find the photo album titled “June Challenge – Everything is Awesome” and add your photo.

4. Link us to your entry by Sunday, July 10th, 9:00 pm PST. The randomly-selected winner of a $20.00 gift certificate to Scrapbook Circle will be posted on July 11th.

Good luck and happy scrapping!
