Jane – Guest Designer Paige Evans

Hi there Fancy friends!   It’s Friday!  And it is time to share the second project from our May Guest Designer, Paige Evans!  She created this layout using the ‘Here & Now’  May kit, full of her collection from Pink Paislee, Fancy Free!  We have been so lucky to have Paige inspire us this month, and this layout clearly shows why she is the master of paper manipulation!

Here is what Paige had to say about her design process:

“I love the corrugated white paper and decided to use it as the background of my layout! I started by die cutting a large “J” for “Jane” outline from Fancy Free paper #6 (the one with all the little patterned squares) and then stitched it to the center of the background. Next I hand cut a bunch of the faux washi tape crosses from the Bloom collection “Blossom” paper and adhered them along with sequins inside the “J”. Then I created two embellishment clusters – one on the bottom right with a photo and journaling in the white space, and the other cluster on the top left. To finish I dropped watercolors over the clusters to break up the even lines and draw the eye all around the page.”

It would never occur to me to use patterned paper in this way, not to mention her amazing sewing skills!  Her pages are truly works of paper art that have solidified her style in the scrapbooking world!

Thank you Paige for hanging with us this month and good luck with your collection!  Thanks to all of you for stopping by the Blog today.  Make sure you pop over tho the Scrapbook Circle of Friends Community page on Facebook and share your projects and comments with us!  Have an amazing weekend!
