DT Choice : scrapping photo series
Hi everyone! This is Neela here with my DT choice post for May. As soon as I saw the acrylic numbers in the Here and Now kit, I knew I wanted to make a layout with a series of photos. Being a paparazzi mom, I can safely say that I have more than one set of a series of photos of my kids doing some activity. I selected this particular set of photos, when my son tasted oysters for the first time. I loved seeing his reaction and his final verdict on how he felt about it. I have been wanting to scrap these photos for a long time and these acrylic numbers were just perfect for these photos. Here is the layout I came up with:
I love the corrugated white cardstock in this kit. It gives so much texture without any effort. I used some left over fancy free patterned paper to create the borders on the top and bottom of the layout. I created one main title with the fancy free stickers and then created smaller subtitles for each photo in the series with the Heidi Swapp stickers. I cut out the patterned paper in strips and wrote my journaling on the strips. I also added the acrylic numbers under each photo with glue dots and backed it with some thread for texture. I finished off the layout with the sequins from pebbles.
Here are some other ideas for layouts that you can use the acrylic numbers for:
- First three Birthdays
- First three Months of a baby
- Grades in school
- Three kids
- Math Homework/ Schoolwork and many more …
Here is another look at the layout:
I love when I get product in my hand and it is the perfect prompt for the story that I have been wanting tell for a long time. Hope you feel the same. Do share your layouts on our facebook page at Scrapbook Circle of friends. We would love to see your creations.
