May’s Telephone Challenge

Hi everyone, it’s Neela here sharing the May installment of the Telephone Game Challenge! This challenge works exactly like the telephone game we played as kids: We are using the previous month’s layout as the whispered “telephone” call, and passing it to a new creative team member each month. Here is Allie’s page from April:

I was super inspired by Allie’s colorful layout. I saw a loose grid going on with the butterflies and played that up by making a colorful grid layout.

I love grid layouts and end up making a bunch of them so it is not surprising that, that is exactly what I zeroed in on Allie’s layout. I mainly used the grid patterned paper from Fancy Free from the Here and Now May kit. This paper is precious so I used my paper trimmer to trim just the border and place it on the white cardstock. I then cut out the patterns I wanted from the grid. I still have a bunch of squares from the patterned paper stashed for another layout. I also loved the ephemera pack in this kit which is also from fancy free and used it to decorate the squares. I then added the sequins from pebbles for some bling. Of course I couldn’t resist adding the silicone words by Maggie Holmes from the Bloom and Grow kit.  We would love to see what you create with the May kits. Don’t forget to share your creations on the ScrapbookCircle facebook page!

  • I just stumbled upon this post and I really really love. I have never seen this concept – playing telephone only with Scrapbooking. How original 🙂 It gets all the creative juices flowing… 😀 I’m heading over to older posts to see what more fun things you’ve going on here 🙂
