1 Product 2 Ways – Amy Tangerine Acetate Page

Hello friends!  I love to see for myself and share with you the unique talents among our DT.   This week Claudia and Diana took on the task of using this 12×12 sheet of acetate from Amy Tangerine, part of the May “Here & Now” kit. Here is the page that Claudia came up with and she describes her process below.  Check out her video too!

“This month my ‘challenge’ was to use the acetate sheet from the Amy Tangerine ‘Better Together’ line that came with the kit. I was quite happy about that, because I feel like there’s so many ways to use this type of paper because there are a ton of elements on there. The kit comes with a gorgeous pack of ephemera from the Fancy Free collection by Paige Evans, but if you are like me – you can never have enough embellishments! So that’s what I decided to with this sheet of acetate. I cut out the elements that I wanted to use for this layout and then looked at a paper to use behind it. I chose the paper in the kit with all the different squared patterns because it gave me so much options.  After I had my self made embellishments ready I started playing around with them on my layout. In the end I ended up embellishing most of my layout with those pieces. I still have a ton left to cut out from the actual acetate sheet so I look forward to using those in the future!”

Claudia also filmed her process from start to finish!  You can find the link HERE!

I love her use of the patterned paper but focusing the bolder colors and blacks around her photo!

Diana chose to create a 8-1/2 x 11″ layout and there is no shortage of boldness here!  Her use of the round alphas, die cut and part of the acetate uncovered in the center keeps drawing your attention back.

Here is what Diana had to say about her page:

“For the acetate, it was a little intimidating at first.  I got to thinking that I wanted it to really blend with my pictures I wanted to use.  I cut strips of paper at the top of a white piece of card stock, I wanted to mimic the colors in the paper at the top so I added water colors.  I knew it needed something else so I used the acetate overlay making sure to cut so that the “remember” was part of  the page.  I used the remember as a prompt in my journaling.  Because these were taken SO long ago, I just journaled about what I remembered, and how I felt.  A little side note I adhered the acetate by using my tiny attacher.”

Diana’s use of hot pink thread makes me want to change out the boring white in my sewing machine!  I love the way it turned out!
Thank you both for another week of excellent inspiration!   You can see more inspiration from not just the Creative Team, but from all the contributors on the Scrapbook Circle of Friends Community on Facebook!
