April’s Telephone Challenge

By Allie Stewart

April 4, 2016

Hello there, Allie here today sharing the April installment of the Telephone Game Challenge! This challenge works exactly like the telephone game we played as kids: We are using the previous month’s layout as the whispered “telephone” call, and passing it to a new creative team member each month. Here is Gina’s page from March:

I was inspired by the cascading shapes at the top, with the photo anchored at the bottom. I mimicked this same effect, but with butterflies instead of circles. Here’s my layout:

Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut different sized butterflies out out of different pattern papers from the One Fine Day Kit and the Stay Cool Add-On.  I mixed and matched them, then scatterd them throughout the page. I gave each butterfly dimension by sewing it down the middle and bending them a bit so they looked like they were fluttering.

For my title, I painted the chipboard included in the main kit with acrylic yellow paint. I love the white chipboard because it’s so versatile!

Thank you for stopping by today! Come back next month to see someone interpret my layout. If this challenge inspires you in any way, I hope you’ll share what you create on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook Page!
