Hello everyone!  Another week, another Product for us to feature with two talented designers.  I asked Rebecca and Allie to find a creative way to use the mint Corrugated Paper from Fancy Pants in the April ‘One Fine Day’ kit.

Rebecca created this layout full of eye candy, grounded with the corrugated paper.  This is what she had to say about her project:

“I cut it into squares to create a grid background.  I had the lines of the corrugation running in two different directions for interest.
I added photos and embellishments on top.  I put a tiny bit of adhesive on a corner of each of the squares and then stitched them into place.”

I love the pieces of paper that Rebecca chose to punch from the various patterned papers.  The way she cropped each pattern, is an embellishment in itself.

Allie’e page also used the corrugated paper in smaller doses, using hearts instead of squares.  Here is what Allie said:

“Normally I would use the corrugated paper as a layering piece to add dimension behind my photo. Instead, I decided to highlight the corrugated paper throughout my page by using it as an embellishment. I used a heart punch to create several hearts, then placed them randomly throughout the layout.  I used a sewing machine and zigzag stitch to adhere them to the page. Next, I curled the hearts up around the stitching for added dimension.  Instead of hiding behind a group of layers, the corrugated paper pops off the page!”

Both designers used similar embellishments and titles, and of course their use of the corrugated paper is somewhat similar, but the outcomes are so different.  They are both full of detail, color and HAPPYness! :)

I know these beautiful projects will inspire some creations of your own.  Share them with us on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook Page!
