March Challenge: Green with Envy

Spring has definitely sprung here in northern California. What about your part of the world? I’ve got friends with snow who are a little envious of all my green scenery. If you’re still waiting for Spring, what better way to count down to green by joining our March challenge? And if Spring is everywhere you look, celebrate by playing along! The challenge is simply to feature the color green in a layout. I asked creative team member Jamie to share with us her take on the challenge:

Jamie started with green cardstock for her background. Tip: Use a shade of green slightly darker than the green in your photos. Doing so makes the photos pop!

1603Mar-Friends-03Jamie decided on the butterfly motif because the page is about her social butterfly and butterflies make an appearance in Spring. She used a combination of a Martha Stewart punch and a Silhouette cut file.

Jamie loved the die-cut spirals from Pinkfresh Studio in the kit, and she used them as butterfly trails. The movement and whimsy they give her layout is so fun!

You still have time to join us for the challenge! Find all the details for playing along here, on the original challenge blog post. Have a wonderful day!
