Designer’s Choice: Starburst and mist

The thing I love most about February’s kit are the gorgeous colors. The second I opened it, I pulled out my favorite patterns and decided to use them in a starburst.

First, I misted the background paper in a contrasting color. Then I used a template that I had to trim starburst patterns. (You can also do this by hand randomly.) I distressed the edges, glued them down, and sewed them. Here’s my page:

I added the photo in the center of the starburst to cover any uneven edges, then added some punched circles from scraps and the sequins from the kit to add color and energy to the background paper. I overlapped the title with the photo, and I placed the journaling on strips on the monochromatic strips.

I hope this gives you ideas for playing around with colors in this kit!
