Get Real: And may the force be with you

Maybe I’m the only one who does this, but occasionally, when I find something fun when shopping with my family, I take pictures of us with it. Case in point: the day the Star Wars: The Force Awakens gear released at Target last fall. Like many people before us, we had gone to Target just for groceries, and we left with Star Wars gear. After a few more months of pictures of us in Star Wars stuff, I picked my favorites photos and made this page:

The Force is Strong in my Family by Jennifer Larson

There’s nothing really thematic here, except some stars and the title glowing with the Force. I thought the background paper’s yellow looked like a sunrise on Tatooine, so I set the title over it and lay some bright strips on top of it to tuck the photos into. Here’s some details:

January’s kit has lots of embellishments that are fun to layer. I put them in a few spots on the page.

Here’s another spot I layered embellishments. (Note: We did not buy the Wookiee I am holding, but that Wookiee snuggie my son is wearing? Yep. That one’s ours.)

I love that the vellum die cuts in the Shine Bright add-on are richly colored enough so that I can use regular adhesive without it showing through. Now that’s the Force!

Thank you for checking out my page! I hope it gives you ideas of how to scrap your own shopping pictures, however goofy they may be.

I LOVE this page! My family is a Star Wars-loving crew too. The big title (and little letters) are awesome here, and glad that you added the date that the movie came out. The real winner, though…has GOT to be the wookie snuggie – LOL!
