Designer Take: Tessa’s Layout Scraps Card

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m looking forward to good food, and good leftovers tomorrow! Speaking of leftovers, have you been saving the leftovers from your layouts? Our current technique challenge is to create a card with scraps from your layout projects. I pulled a few strips of paper from my Good Cheer scrap pile and made this striped sweater-inspired card:

I always seem to have strips leftover, and by simply layering and distressing them, you can have a great card with interesting patterns and texture. My favorite part is the sentiment. I cut the name of the star paper by Elle’s Studio out of the selvedge edge and used it as my greeting. If that’s not using up your scraps, I don’t know what is!

From all of us at Scrapbook Circle we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving if you are celebrating, and a wonderful day if you’re not. One way or the other, be sure to check out our amazing sales this weekend! And find all the details on entering our challenge here. Have a great day!
