Designer Take: Jennifer’s Black and White Photos

Our current technique challenge is to use black and white photos on a layout. I asked creative team member Jennifer to share with us her take on the challenge:

Wade In by Jennifer LarsonJennifer loves to convert especially evocative photos to black and white. Here she used a special photo of her son wading through water as a large portion of her layout. She chose yellow patterned paper because yellow reminds her of happiness, and Jennifer used brightly colored embellishments to highlight her son and the title.

Jennifer also inked the edges of her journaling strips with blue to evoke the water. What a beautiful page!
