September Technique Challenge: Geometric Shapes

The patterned papers in Hello, Hello – the September kit – are a fabulous mix of prints. If you flip to the “b” sides of these papers, you’ll find a variety of geometric shapes. From triangles to hexagons, diamonds to cubes, these shapes from your geometry days are inspiring our next technique challenge. Create a layout featuring geometric shapes. They could be cut from patterned paper or part of the paper’s design. Choose one shape to work with, or many. It’s up to you! To get the ideas flowing, I asked creative team member Gina to share with us her take on the challenge:

Gina cut triangles and diamonds from the Crate Paper patterned papers in the kit, as well as circles and stars. Combined with sequins and triangle puffy stickers, the confetti of shapes down her page creates a fantastic background for these photos of her daughter.

I love the hip, carefree feeling of this layout! Thank you so much for the inspiration, Gina. Now, are you ready to play along?

Here’s how:

1. Create a layout featuring geometric shapes. While the Scrapbook Circle Hello Hello kit is the perfect starting point for this challenge, any materials will do.

2. Post your layout to your blog, our Facebook page, or an online gallery. Copy and paste a direct link to your post into the comments on this post.

3. You have THREE weeks to play. Enter by 9:00 pm Pacific time on Wednesday, October 7th to be eligible to win this amazing Evalicious prize:

Can I be excused from the creative team for one little month so that I can play to win this prize? No? Well, YOU have fun creating and good luck!
