Designer’s Choice: 8 1/2 x 11 Love

Hiya! If you’re a strictly 12×12 scrapbooker I want to challenge you: mix it up a bit and give 8 1/2 x 11 a try. I love love love this size. Nearly half of all the pages I’ve made this year are 8 1/2 x 11. There’s just something so visually appealing about this size to me, especially when paired with 3×4 photos.

Originally, I was trying to figure out one 12×12 layout for these two photos. But I scratched that and made two 8 1/2 x 11 instead! It meant I got to tell two different stories and ones beyond the obvious, that we were at a backyard party.

Here’s another nudge for you to try out 8 1/2 x 11. You can really stretch that patterned paper! The bottom layout features both the A & B sides of the Dear Lizzy Love Fest patterned paper from the You are my Favorite kit. So glad I got to pair both of these fabulous patterns together.

Trying 8 1/2 x 11 really makes for a no lose situation. If you don’t like how it looks as is, you can always mount it to a 12×12 sheet of paper!

If you try out this reduced size we’d love to see. Be sure to share it on our Scrapbook Circle Facebook group so we can leave you some love!
