Inspiration & an Interview: Audrey

As we celebrate Scrapbook Circle’s 9th anniversary this month, we are sharing our creative team’s favorite layouts created with this month’s kit – Hello Sunshine – as well as a little Q and A with each one. Our next designer is Audrey!

curly cue SBCQ: Tell us about your scrapbook page. What does it mean to you?

A: I love doing pages about the little everyday event in my kids lives that I want to remember at each age. My daughter wanted to try and make her hair curly, so we set it in paper towel strips overnight while it was damp (thank you Pinterest!).  The look on her face the next morning when she saw herself in the mirror is a face I always want to remember!  It was so cute!

Q: What is your favorite, go-to technique when creating your pages?

A: I almost always add a little sprinkle of mist drops here and there on my pages.  And I ALWAYS use an edge distressing tool to rough up the edges of my page.  I just love the texture it give.  On pages of my kiddos, I try to include a heart somewhere on every page, too!

Q: What’s the first thing you do when your kit arrives?

A: I open it up and smell it!  LOL!  I wish I could say I was kidding.  I take out each sheet of paper and look at the front and back and start to think about what photos to use.  Then I decide which papers I am going to use as my backgrounds because most of my pages I used patterned papers for the backgrounds or white cardstock.

Q: If you could design the next Scrapbook Circle project kit (likethis one, or this one), what would it be?

A: Maybe something with Art Journaling, which I want to get into more!  A fun stencil, gelattos, and maybe a cool pen or brush!

Q: What do you love most about Scrapbook Circle?

A: I love the selection of papers and the manufacturers that Lisa puts together!  Having tons of choice for add-ons is also a great perk!!
