Designer’s Choice: Creating a curled frill

Hello! It’s Jennifer Larson. When I think of spring, I think of new baby chickens and rabbits, Easter baskets, and the frills of newly planted flowers. With that in mind, I tried to add a frill to my page:

Here I used the Crate Paper Craft Market–Hardcover paper as the frill because it was straw colored, like the nests of spring. I cut a strip about 2 inches thick, then every 1/4 inch I trimmed about halfway through with my paper trimmer. I then adhered and stitched it to the page, then by hand curled the frills randomly to add a bit of texture.

I hope this gives you ideas for adding texture to your pages!
