Designer’s Choice: Cards from Scraps

Hiya! I have so much to say about this layout, which was so fun to make.  Let’s start with inspiration, shall we?

I saw this photo on instagram and immediately knew it would be great for a scrapbook page! So using the font tool in Silhouette design, I created the background and cut it out of white cardstock. I backed the white cardstock with papers from my Let’s Do This kit.

After that, I added my photos and framed them with lovely Heidi Swapp frames from the This Way add on. I loved the variety of patterns, widths and textures!

As you can see from the layout, I had 8 white “I Like You” die cuts hanging around. I didn’t want to waste them so I made 8 cards using the die cuts and scraps left over from the layout. They were so simple to make and turned out better than I imagined.

Take aways from this post? Inspiration is everywhere! Even in places not directly scrapbook related. And also, use up your leftovers. Find some creative way to incorporate them into a project. I chose to make cards but I easily could have made a whole other page.
