All Boy!

It’s been so much fun to create with this month’s Here’s the Story Kit. I decided to challenge myself to make a bold and boyish page with this kit and I’m excited with the results.

For my background, I cut the paper to 8.5 X 11 inches. With the extra paper strip left after trimming, I used it to cut the star design with my Silhouette to overlay on the background. I spread out the stars plus the neagtive space to cover the page. I didn’t place stars under the photos since I didn’t have enough and it was going to be covered up anyway.

Since the reverse side of the yellow paper is the same color with a different patterned (polka on one side and stripes on the other) it created a cool monochromatic effect with a fun variation of patterns.

To finish off the page, I used the “Good Times” tags from the printable that is included with the kit plus some paper strips (the black one is from our exclusive tag set in the kit) and a bit of stitching.

I love that this simple page tells a story about my son and something he loves. Documenting our family stories is always an awesome thing to do!
