Black & White and a splash of color

One of my favorite things about the January kit and add-ons are the neutral colors like the greys, blacks, and whites, and how you can add in pops of colors from the other papers.

I chose this black and white stripe paper from Crate Paper as my background, and to make sure my photos didn’t clash too much, I printed them in black and white also.  This allowed the colors to really stand out.

I used a piece of paper from the Bella Rouge 6×6 paper pad (from the add-on) and cut out some black “chalk” shapes to scatter on my page, plus some of the pink enamel dots, too.

I used a punch to cut out one of the exclusive Scrapbook Circle stickers and then popped it off the page.

And I just LOVE the Bella Rouge transparent alphas.  I stitched over them to secure them and then added one of the exclusive wood hearts that I tried to add some ink to to match the shade of green in the Amy Tan Stitched paper behind my photos.

I wanted to add something else on the bottom of the page to draw your eye down more, so as a last touch, I added a piece of black and white twine from my stash right along the edge of the black and white strips on the paper, then added a little bow near the title.

Let’s see your pages with these neutrals and pops of color!
