One Item Wonder: Gold-foiled Vellum

Two very trendy finishes in scrapbooking today are gold and vellum. Combine the two and you have one of those papers that is so beautiful, it’s hard to cut into. We Are Made of Stories includes one such paper. From the Open Book line by Maggie Holmes, it¬†features¬†intersecting chevrons in gold foil on white vellum. I asked Jamie and Valerie from our creative team to share with us how they used this gorgeous paper. Let’s take a look:

SBC December kit DT choice Valerie Huang Documented

Inspired by the angles of the vellum paper, Valerie designed her page on a tilt. The vellum looks soft over white cardstock, and the gold foil really pops and shines.

Jamie placed her vellum so that the chevron pattern points to her title and focal photo. She also layered the vellum over a patterned paper. The woodgrain background looks beautiful against the vellum and gold.

What are you doing with this gorgeous paper? Go ahead, cut into it! Your layouts will thank you! Share with us on our Facebook page here. Thanks for stopping by today!
