Circle Round-Up: December

It’s Jennifer Larson, sharing some inspiration I gained from this month’s Circle Round-Up:

The colors were a bit of a challenge for me. See the biggest circle? It’s pink. I have two boys. Still, pink is a happy color, so I went with using the Chickaniddy Caroling paper as the background for this December wrap-up page.

The complement to the page for me was the Elle’s Studio Quilt paper. I wanted a dramatic contrast to the muted pink music paper, so I trimmed the diamond paper and made it overlap the photos on one side. For interest, I trimmed leftover diamonds and adhered them with dimensional stickers.

Next came the grey circle. There’s loads of lovely grey in this kit, and I went with the Pink Paislee Reindeer paper, which had a grey and white stripe B-Side. I punched it with a zig-zag border punch and laid it across the two pages to draw the pages together and make a base for the title.

Finally the add-on circle. I went with silver for this one: I’d been planning on using the silver number stickers since I saw the Circle Round-Up; The silver word stickers in the add-on were just icing. To add more color, I also added more of the colorful Chickaniddy stars across the page to tie the design together and add punches of color.

So that’s how the Circle Round-Up inspired me this month! How will it inspire you? Post your creations to the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page to share your ideas!
