Designer’s Choice | Extra Paper Please!

By Jenni Calma

August 23, 2014

Hi there everyone!  Jenni here to share my choice of layout, where I made the most of extra patterned paper, now offered from Scrapbook Circle along with the August-Island Paradise  kit!  I LOVE embellishments…I mean really love them, but patterned paper is the basis for our hobby!

I love the patterns, designs and the possibilities that only paper inspires!  This paper from Alison Kreft, for Webster’s Pages is absolutely delicious…seriously, I could frame it and hang it on the wall!  However, having the extra set of the patterned paper, part of the August kit, I thought I should make the most of the subtle pattern by layering the papers over each other.  And I meant to lay them over each other to line up exactly with the pattern.

The Elle’s Studio die cut labels match the colors of the Scrapbook Circle printables, included in the kits and they set up the color scheme of pinks, teals and creamy white.  I punched extra pieces of patterned paper,  lining them up exactly with the base layer of pattern.  It created a wonderful effect, especially with the the bokeh pattern paper!

I wrote my journaling on a piece of the Scrapbook Circle printables.  Patterns aside, I love this color combination!  More importantly, an extra few sheets of patterned paper can be a great way to add your own embellishments and details to a layout.  Thanks so much for checking out the blog!  I hope you will participate in one of the Scrapbook Circle challenges, check them out on the BLOG!
