Downward Motion

Even among the bright, bold colors in the August “Island Paradise” kit, I was still able to find a combination of papers and embellishments that let the bright colors of my photos stand out!  I love when a kit is that versatile!

I used the direction of the lined background paper to inspire the “downward” motion of my page, echoed by the downward motion of my kiddos in the photos, too.  I added a few more additional triangles pointing down to add even more to this effect.  I machine stitched in each woodgrain triangle with yellow thread.

I wanted to keep the other elements to a minimum, so I just added a frame with some paper in the background for my journaling, and a brad and a sticker.  There are a few more star stickers (and a heart one) scattered here and there and I used the exclusive Scrapbook Circle cork bit for part of my title.

Since I got both add-ons this month, I have SO much more scrapping to do to use up this awesome kit!!!! These kits go SUCH a long ways!
