Designer Take: Tessa’s Nice Ride

Anywhere you go with a car full of rambunctious boys is a “nice ride”, right? When I sat down to create for Challenge #78, that old standby – don’t make me turn this car around – popped into my head. But seriously, some of my favorite memories of my kids’ childhoods are of driving somewhere. I decided to scrap our annual day trip to Sac Town (Sacramento) that we take during Spring Break:

The Alison Kreft chevron patterned paper in the Our Adventure kit was perfect for my theme of driving in to the city. The cityscape in the background made me think of the Sacramento skyline.

Obviously, my youngest was a little excited to be going to our favorite museums, Old Town Sacramento, and more.

I love the Open Road die cuts and enjoyed using several on my page.
