Vellum.  I have to be honest the VERY first time I saw vellum, we weren’t friends–that was a LONG time ago.  My understand of texture and style has changed just a bit-I’ve come to realize why I didn’t like vellum.  It was because I didn’t like the fact that you had to be TRICKY or have special adhesive to adhere it (this was BEFORE it was cool to use the sewing machine on your layouts–imagine!)  That being said I wanted to share a quick tip on how I cut and adhered my vellum stars to my layout here:DianaWlongjumpingSBC

I cut my stars using the Silhouette Cameo, I set my cut settings to cut Vellum-I also adjusted my blade.  I then cut several stars out in different sizes.  I wanted some shapes for a later project so I surrounded the stars with rectangle boxes- this may sound complicated but it is VERY easy.  On the left hand side of your control bar there are shapes, click on your desired shape and you can adjust the dimension that you want.

After I assembled the stars where I wanted, I carefully laid my layout underneath the needle of my sewing machine, going VERY slow so that my stars stayed in the desired position–I liked the look of a double stitch so I sewed twice.

We would love to see ANY of your projects using Scrapbook Circle kits please feel free to share them on our Facebook page!
