Good Morning!

I’m super excited to be here this morning with you! Today, I’m going to share some of the thought process and ideas I had when I put together my little mini book using this month’s kits:  High Five, My Fave, and Sweet Treats.

I loved all the bright colors in this month’s kits and knew that they would go perfectly with some pictures from a cruise that my husband and I had taken in early February. To start my book, I used the thin piece of chipboard that was behind the American Crafts glitter paper and cut it down to two pieces of 5×7 inches. I then cut out 14 pieces of paper down to 5×7 inches from the various pattern papers included in the kits. I took the pieces of chipboard and adhered a piece of pattern paper to the front and back and then stitched the front part with my sewing machine. Then, I took two pattern papers and backed them to each other and stitched these down. This created my five inner pages for my book. I punched holes in all of them and used silver jump rings to keep it together. I picked out several pictures that I wanted to use and started adhering them in my book. I used the sheet of Amy Tangerine paper by American Crafts that already had the pre-made journaling spots and cut that down and used those throughout my book. I used a couple of them to type my journaling on and then punched holes in it and slipped it into the book. I used the rub-ons, stickers, puffy stickers, some cuts from my Silhouette, and the Heidi Swapp glitter frames to complete my book.

Creating a mini book is the perfect way to use up all the little leftover bits and papers from a kit! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at this little project!
