Challenge #73: A pinch of this, a dash of that…
I’m preparing to host a holiday dinner at my place this weekend, so I’ve been going through my recipes: fine-tuning favorites, tweaking some to make them a bit healthier, learning new ones. I’m not a very intuitive cook, so I like to follow a recipe as closely as I can until I feel comfortable enough to leave my own mark on it. Do you ever feel that way about your scrapbooking design? Do you follow sketches exactly? Do you scraplift perfectly? Or do you take the ingredients you have on hand and just go to town? Well, in that spirit, we have a recipe challenge for you!
Your next layout:
1 large photo
3 patterned papers
a pinch of wood veneer
a dash of die-cuts
I asked creative team member Jenni to share her take on the recipe. This is her delicious result:
All the ingredients are there, working together to create a great page! I love the stitching through the die-cuts and how the wood veneer triangles are making a frame around her photo. Ready to hit the kitchen? I mean, scrapbook room? Here’s how to play:
1. Create a layout using the ingredients listed above. Additions are a-okay. We would love to see a Scrapbook Circle kit in action, but any materials will do.
2. Post your layout to your blog, our Facebook page, or an online gallery. Come back to this post and leave a direct link to your layout in the comments.
3. You have three weeks to play! Enter by Wednesday, May 7th , 9:00 p.m. Pacific to be eligible for…
