I love using neutral colored patterned papers for my backgrounds, and I was so happy to see this one by Chickaniddy crafts with a geometric print. I wanted to add some subtle triangles to the page, but I still wanted them to stand out a bit. And I had an AH HA moment! I also had the 6×6 paper pad from Chickaniddy, and the prints are the same patterns except on a smaller scale.
So I hand cut out a bunch of triangles from the smaller print, roughed up the edges, and added them to the page! Behind my photo, I used some scraps of papers, and some of the cut outs from the February printable.
And how perfect was this utensil sticker from the Chickaniddy sticker sheet for a meal themed page?!
So if you have a 6×6 paper and 12×12 with the same pattern but different sized prints, try layering them up in interesting ways!
PS: Here is a fun little tidbit: I never look at the other DT members galleries until I am done creating my page. How funny is it that Lisa Andrews and I created a page with the SAME TITLE, using the SAME background paper, the SAME piece of flair, and the SAME cut-out piece from the printable?! Great minds!!!!
