Are you in a festive mood today? Jenni’s take on our current challenge, Confetti Couture, will make you feel like celebrating on your next page! Take a look:

Not only did Jenni use the confetti paper in the October kit, but she also created her own confetti border.

Punched circles of cardstock in various colors, sequins, and sequin rub-ons from the October kit all combine to make a textured, fun and festive page element.

If you’d like to give Jenni’s technique a try, or you have a great idea of your own, there’s still time to play along with the challenge! You can find all of the details here. And don’t forget – there is an amazing Amy Tangerine prize up for grabs! Have a great day!

One Item Wonder: So Happy Together Printable

Have you printed and cut the exclusive printable that came with this month’s kit? The So Happy Together printable includes journaling spots, accents, 4×3 cards and cute subtitles perfect for making your layouts unique and memorable. I asked Melissa to share with us how she used the printable, and this is the fabulous result:

Hunting Border

Almost everything you see here is from the printable! I love how Melissa print and cut the journaling boxes, then filled them out in her own handwriting:

And that peek-a-boo of stars is from the printable, too! There are lots of great tidbits on the sheet, perfect for adding in that detailed, finishing touch. We would love to see what you are doing with your printable! Be sure to upload your layouts to our Facebook page so we can leave you some love. Have a great day!

Take 2!

I have to confess that this is the first time I’ve ever lifted myself!  I don’t know why I’ve never done it before, but I’m happy to say I love how it turned out!

I decided on lifting one of my first layouts I ever created for SBC back in July…

stl1
I recreated this page by layering some of the same types of elements around my photo such as the confetti bag holding my journaling tag and some of the 3×4 cards from the SBC exclusive tag set which are all available in October’s “So Happy Together” kit.

together1
I punched out a few heart shapes from the bottom of one of the journaling cards and scattered them around my page and layered the negative piece under my photo, just like I did in my original layout.

together2
I also clustered some embellishments at the bottom of my page and added a few sequin shapes and one of the SBC custom wood veneer shapes over the confetti patterned paper strip.

together4
I’m definitely going to be lifting myself more often!  I love how this layout looks different than the original even though I stayed true to it’s design.  I hope you get a chance to dig through some older layouts and lift yourself…I think you’ll love the results!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

hearts.

In this month’s kit; So Happy Together and the add on You and Me there is a wide variety of colors, textures and designs.  A shape that stood out to me which surprised me AFTER I made my layout was hearts!  It’s funny how you look at the whole picture and then study it a little bit closer and start picking things out; the things you like and that you can’t quite put your finger on until you study it just a bit.  That being said this layout came together a little bit at a time–this picture is my FAVORITE from the day I got married…

DianaWMyLOVE

Do you notice all the hearts?  Some are more obvious than others..

We would LOVE to see your pictures using any of our Scrapbook Circle kits on our Facebook page, please feel free to share!

All My Heart

hi everyone!

I’m stopping by today to share another layout I made using October’s fabulous kit: So Happy Together
(along with the 2 add ons:  Just Us & You & Me)

SCLoveThisWM
the wooden elements in this kit are WOW! I LOVE this triangle  shape & decided to add one of the Pink Paislee
Color Wash tags on top of it, leaving the tag it’s natural color so the wood shows through.

I just love my kids. With ALL my heart. Being that they’re both college kids, it’s almost rare to have pics of them
together, so I take every opportunity I can to snap whatever shots I can with whatever tool I have with me.
(In this case, it was this past summer while both are home on summer break, in our fave burger joint, using my iPhone)

To describe how I feel about this special moment with them, I highlighted lots of “love” words  to show them how much they mean to me.

The stamp that comes in the You & Me add on is the perfect size for adding lots of hearts all over your project.  I am in LOVE with that stamp. I’ll be using it A LOT.

Challenge #63 – Confetti Couture

From sprinkles of sequins to splatters of mist, a spray of confetti is a trendy element in many paper-crafted projects these days. The October kit, So Happy Together, features a patterned paper by Webster’s Pages that has a playful, colorful, confetti design. The kit also includes a package of rub-on sequins by Heidi Swapp. These items are inspiring our new challenge – Confetti Couture! Design a project – card, layout, etc. – that features confetti. I asked Jennie to play along with the challenge, and this is her fantastic project:

jbcard1

Here, Jennie has used both the patterned paper and the rub-ons from the kit. What a happy card!

Words and Phrases

Good Morning!

I loved the back of the Crate Paper, Flea Market paper included in this month’s kit. (Or is it the front of the paper, who knows?) But, the one with all the words and phrases. Last year, it seemed like one of the embellishments that was always in style were those fun word sticker packets. This paper is just like that, but you have to cut them out yourself. I also like how there are some longer phrases included on this paper. I decided to have that be my journaling of sorts on this layout.

jbstay

What do you think? This paper might get overlooked in this kit with all the fun and bright colors included everywhere else, but if you need a few fun words or phrases, look at the back (or front) of this paper!  Enjoy!

One Item Wonder: Websters Pages Bags

The decorative bags included in the So Happy Together kit are by Websters Pages and are oh-so-cute! I asked Kimberly to share how she put them to use on a page and this is her simple and stylish technique:

KGarofolo-Mom-you-are-Amazing-1

Kimberly tucked two bags under the left side of her photo, making a space for a subtitle and bringing color and pattern to that side of her layout.

KGarofolo-Mom-you-are-Amazing-3

Whether you fill them with tags or journaling cards, or use them as blocks of color and pattern, these bags are adorable accents to your pages! What have you done with them? We’d love to see, so please upload your layouts to the Facebook page so we can sneak a peek. Have a great day!
