Lifting You — Elizabeth

Today we are sharing a Lifting You post. This week’s lift post is exciting because we are starting to share with you work from the new Design Team. I always love when we have the switch over from one team to the next because I get to work with some new people, get to know them as designers and then share their work with you.

Today’s lift is from Kim Garofolo. If you don’t know her yet, you will soon. (Check out her gallery work for this month’s kit!) Her work is lovely and she starts by showing off a lift from our subscriber, Elizabeth. Here is the page that Elizabeth shared with us on our Facebook page.

I was drawn to the paint/mixed media look on Elizabeth’s background and the fun way she layered the patterned paper. Her title is fun and I love her “nifty” in the lower corner. Just too fun not to choose to lift this month.

Here is what Kim did with Elizabeth’s layout as her inspiration.

I love the mist she added to the kraft chevron background page and how her sequin stars match the stars on the page she was lifting. Her lower corner  with the “today” label and “fun” lettering compliments Elizabeth’s “nifty” corner embellishment. I like how she used the wood veneer arrows and chevron near the photos too.

Great inspiration, ladies! These are both great layouts!
